Trial Practice

When it becomes necessary to try your case in court you will need experienced counsel by your side.  The Robert E. Sweeney Co., L.P.A. has over 50 years of litigation experience in court rooms all over Ohio, both at the trial level and in appellate forums.  We have primarily concentrated on an approach that takes one case to trial at a time, but we also have substantial experience in mass tort and class action litigation.

Our philosophy on trial work is that every reasonable effort should be made to work out fair compromises before asking judges and juries to commit their time and energy to a trial.  We believe in the judicial system itself, and know that it has limited resources, and those resources should not be drawn upon unnecessarily.  However, we also believe that we should always be prepared and willing to take our client's case to trial if the other side is unwilling to treat them fairly.  After all, that is what court houses are for, and no one should be afraid to enter a court room when justice demands it.
